The .jbk file extension is used by the Juno Internet Service installation program. You can use the Backup Wizard in the Juno software to backup your emails, address book, account settings, and other information stored in Juno. It’s useful to have this recovery file if you will be switching computers, need to restore Juno Internet service software, or are upgrading the Juno software.
Typical problems associated with the .jbk file extension:
One of the most common problems with .jbk files is when it comes time to restore your settings. You can’t simply click the .jbk file and have your settings magically appear. In addition, when trying to restore a JBK file, the process may fail.
Another problem can occur if your .jbk file becomes corrupt. A corrupt file may not be usable and it could cause Juno (or your entire computer) to crash.
