The .m4p file extension stands for MPEG-4 Video File. The .mp4 file is a movie or video clip that uses the compression format of MPEG-4. This format is commonly used for sharing videos and movies over the Internet. This format uses two separate compressions for audio and video. The audio track is compressed with AAC compression while the video tracks are compressed with MPEG-4 video encoding.
