The .mov file extension stands for movie. If you receive a .mov file, you are receiving a movie clip that you can play in QuickTime or some other compatible media player.

One of the most common problems with .mov files involves opening them. You must have a QuickTime player or other compatible media player in order to view .mov video clips.
Missing codecs which are compressors and decompressors can also contribute to .mov errors.
